First, to register with the site so you can post...
1. Click the JOIN button at the top of the page or the JOIN GN/TType link on the left side of the page.
2. Read the rules (basically the same as the list with a couple of additional features added for the board, since we have a vendor posting area).
3. MAKE SURE that you have a valid email address in the registration! If you don't, you won't get your new username/password!
Email addresses are normally in the form of:
joeblow@wherever.com
they normally DO NOT include "www" (i.e. www.joeblow@whereever.com).
Once you get your new username and password via email:
1. Since the password is a random jumble of letters and numbers, it is HIGHLY recommended that you change it something more meaningful.
2. Click on the "Edit Profile" link to the left side of your screen. There are sections there to:
- Change your password
- Set or disable email notification when people post to a topic of interest. NOTE: It is recommended that if you subscribe to the mailing list, the you DO NOT check any of the topics. This will result in you getting both a notification directly AND you will get the same message as part of your list traffic. This appears as if you get duplicate messages, but it's actually the fact that all board traffic is mirrored to the list as well to allow all to participate
- Setup your Profile and add a picture of your car if you wish
- Please note that a REAL NAME is required to post to the board. We reserve the right to deny access to the board for incomplete or false names or registration info. We believe that everyone needs to be accountable for their actions and postings ... a real email address and name are necessary to ensure this.
