Just a few administrative notes...
I have removed a few non-Buick-powered vehicles from our 'Readers Rides' listings. Our policy has always been that only Buicks and Buick-powered rides are allowed to be in the Readers Rides and 'fastest' listing. I know that some of you would like to note your other nice rides, but we want to keep the GNTTYPE site all-Buick power. Sorry for the inconvenience.
For those that reply to the web-based board posts on our e-mail based discussion group, please post your replies to board-initiated discussions to the board. Otherwise, those posting on the board won't see your response. This is VERY easy to do. At the bottom of the board based post will be a URL (web address) that will take you right to the discussion so you can post your followup. Look at the bottom of this one (for those reading on the list) to see what I mean. Why is this important? Because otherwise, the person who is asking for help from the board may never see your well-intentioned reply that was only sent to the list. Right now we have not developed a good way to route email posts to the proper areas of the board, so this is the only way to keep continuity. For those that already do this, thank you. And I'm sure those who've received your help thank you as well.
Our web-based discussion board has attracted hundreds and hundreds of new people, many of which appear to be fairly new to the TR scene. It is important that we be patient with the same 'newbie' questions some of us have heard for 10+ years and try to help the new folks find the answers. At the same time, I would encourage those who are new to the scene to take the time to really scour our site for information, as there are a LOT of answers to questions you may have already out there. Never be afraid to ask a question, but always ask after trying to research the answer on this site a bit.
