there is a strange tapping or ticking at the rear end when the brakes are applied. What is this noise? please help,thanks in advance.

I would pull off the wheels and check your brake pads first and also check to make sure that your hardware and emergancy cables are free and all good. Sometimes the pads wear down and a small piece will break off and grind inside the drum. Also if you have the factory aluminum drums still which is not likely you may want to inspect them completely to insure that they have no cracks in them or even if you have steel drums. Look at the surface that the shoes ride on and see if they have cracks or are discolored from heat.
