Most likely it needs a new accumulator bulb on the side of the master cylinder. Try that first..

My experience with these problems is that the cause is internal leaking inside the booster. A new accumulator might temporally fix the problem but a fading warning light is an indication of pressure problems. When the light is on is the pump also running? Or does it cycle normally? The two things that cause this are a worn pump and motor or one of the o-rings on the power piston inside the cylinder/booster. To properly diagnois this you need the fancy pressure gauge to see what the output of the pump is. As you know a new powermaster is expensive. Your old one can be rebuilt. Look under the resources(sorry about no link) for rebuilding tips and instructions. The pump and motor are available new but it is almost the price of a complete P/M. I cant remember who but there is someone out there rebuilding these too.

There is no such thing as a rebuilt PowerMaster motor/pump! Please check my web site for details and price for NEW PowerMaster motor/pumps.

Thx,

Hank

No problem Eric. I've been lying low because I usually come across too brazen when I post. I'm always available to help though.

Hank
