Chris Charlton (Bgndobe) | Monday, July 22, 2002 - 10:04 am I have a TE-51 turbo with stock injectors (I eventually will change them but can't afford it yet)I am looking into getting one of those electrical boost kits...but not sure which to go with...the "fuel pump" boost kit or the "V-boost kit" that does the entire electrical system? Any suggestions? I have a Thrasher 92 chip and an in-tank fuel pump upgraded from Modern Musclecar. Just a simple question about Turbos...what is the difference bte TE and TA turbos??Just curious..Thanks Chris |
Joey Douglas (Carolinaturbot6) | Tuesday, July 23, 2002 - 03:29 am Chris, since you've already upgraded the fuel pump, a hotwire kit is probably the way to go. That's what most of us do anyway. And yes, a set of replacement injectors will be a very good next "mod". The difference in "ta" & "te" is that the "ta" series turbos use the inlet bell (what the maf hose connects to at the turbo). The "te" turbos don't have this inlet bell. The stock turbos are all "ta turbos". HTH |
