I have to replace the exhaust on my 86 GN, and I want to go with the best preforming mufflers that are quiet.I was told to go with Walker. Has anyone heard, or would know if the Walker Dynomax systems are good and quiet?

Kirban sells them for $350 - great deal! Real quiet, and just as free-flowing as any other system. I gained 4mph in the 1/4 with this exhaust, and the aerochambers are as quiet as you can get while still allowing virtually "open exhaust" performance. It fits perfectly right out of the box, too...I love mine!

The Hooker 2.5 cat-back system is the best non-stainless system money can buy in my opinion. You could go ATR and go stainless, but prepare to spend $700-$800. If you want it to last forever - go ATR stainless. If you want to spend half and still have it last the life of your car - go Hooker.
Walker makes the replacement mufflers for GM on the GN. They have two offered. One is in the high performance GM exhaust catalog the other in the regular GM exhaust program. I have the regular one on mine GN and it's just like stock.
I've had the stock exhaust, Borla muffs, BGC pipes with Walker UltraFlows and now the Hooker system with Aerochambers. Aside from stock, the Hooker system is the quietest of the bunch.
