HOPE THIS IS THE RIGHT FORM. LOOKING FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT CAN SPARE 2 CENTS. I'M ABOUT TO DO A FUEL PUMP UP GRADE. GOT SOME GREAT INFO OFF THE TECH PAGE, ON REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD DO TANK CLEANING AND SEALING I.E. (AN EASTWOOD KIT) ON MY 17 YEAR OLD GAS TANK. THOUGH NO VISABLE SIGNS OF LEAKING OR CORRISION. ANY OTHER PM OR MODS TO DO WHILE I'VE GOT MY TANK DOWN. PLUS STILL CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND BETWEEN AN XP OR 347 PUMP.

Fuel feed pipe rubs on front crossmember. After removing engine from my 86 parts car I noticed the rubber protector sleeve on the fuel feed pipe had sliped back and pipe was rubbing on front crossmember. It haden't worn thru yet but it was close. You might consider checking yours. With 50 psi of fuel pressure on it a fire could start easily. I am going to check my other cars and will let you know how they were.
