Michael Ellis (Stickybones) | Thursday, August 28, 2003 - 03:55 am Well, 101mph on a street chip with pump gas really isn't all that bad with your combo. At 18psi, the TE44 is probably no better than the stock turbo. Based on what you wrote, I assume you're running thru the cat. I know that when I had back firing problems with my GN, my coil pack wires were pretty fried. Maybe you can start by looking there. Replace the cat with a dump or test pipe and you may free up some more horses there too. Or how about replacing the stock air filter canister with an open K&N cone. What conditions did you run this time in? Was it really hot out? |
CHRIS BORSON (Turbolick) | Thursday, August 28, 2003 - 07:29 pm YES I AM RUNNING THRU THE CAT, YES IT WAS HOT OUT,ALREADY CHECKED THE IGNITION SYSTEM-ALL GOOD.IF I TURN UP THE FP BESIDES THE BACFIRE THE CAR GOES FAT ALL THE WAY DOWN (I MEAN BIG BLACK CLOUD)ANOTHER BUD OF MINE SAID THE STOCK INJECTORS ARE THE PROBLEM, PROBABLY POOR ATOMIZATION??? |
