I am considering a custom application where the Turbo would actually be mounted at the back of the vehicle behind the rear axle for packaging reasons (no intercooler). I have heard of one place that actually does this for late model Camaro's and Firebirds, and they claim their system works just as well as a manifold mounted Turbo due to the sizing, etc (www.ststurbo.com). I have some doubts due to the extreme loss in exhaust gas temperature and long piping lengths on this...any thoughts? They claim their system spools to full boost by 3000RPM, not sure how that compares to a stock TR...?
