Where can I find a downpipe for my 84 GN, it is old and needs to be replaced. Also I would like to replace the pipe from the turbo housing to the manifold. Who makes the best onces and where can I get them. I can only ever find listings for 86/87 GNs

I would recommend giving S&S Turbo Regal a call. You'll find them at http://www.gntperformance.com/ They have lots of specific parts for the 84-85 cars.
ATR has a downpipe for hotairs for $125 and S&S sells theirs for $129. You can download the S&S catalog from the site listed above.
Actually, the S&S and ATR pieces are identical. You can also try and get a hold of Lee Thompson as he makes downpipes similar to the Terry Houston style pipe (no elbow) in 3" diameter.
I e-mailed Lee a week or so ago, and he didn't seem overly enthused about doing any exhaust pieces for a while.
