Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 07:29 pm Does anyone sell 2.25" tail pipes for dual muffler setups. I've tried my local parts store that caries walker systems and he said there is none listed. Ken 87 GN

Monday, October 29, 2001 - 09:56 am A few possible ideas: - Look into a source for tailpipes for an Olds 442 or Monte Carlo SS of the same vintage. Both of these systems used a dual muffler setup with the same chassis as the TRs. The Olds would have exits like the TR system, but the Monte would exit out the back. 'Factory replacement' setups for these cars might be just what you're looking for. - Contact ATR. Not sure they'll have anything in 2.25" (vs. 2.5"), but it might be worth a try. Though they deal in high quality stainless, which is a little pricey if you're on a budget. - Other exhaust sources include Cotton's, Torque Tech, and Gardner. See our vendors page at http://www.gnttype.org/vendors/ for contact information.

Thursday, November 01, 2001 - 02:40 am Thanks for the help guys. I found out that Advance Auto Parts sells duals made by walker for the 87 olds 442. They come out at the about the same location for 25.00 apiece. The easiest way would be to put thier complete system on because the mufflers are at a different angle. But I'm going modify the muffler end so it will work with my existing dual muffler system. My system is from a monte ss. Ken

Wednesday, November 28, 2001 - 07:06 pm Can anyone tell me if the Hooker Cat-Back system{HOK-16810}has the correct tail pipes that exit angled out the sides for the GN? The pictures I have seen at Summit seem to show SS monte carlo tail pipes. The picture also didn't show the four bolt flange to be able to bolt right up to the Cat. Does it have that also, or are these systems not worth it for a stock 87 GN? Thanks Tom
