Friday, December 07, 2001 - 03:00 pm I am building a nice t tpye project and am trying to save as much $$ as possible. I have a budget and want to stick to it as much as possible. I will be running a TA49 with a 3" downpipe stock ported exhaust elbow and no cat (3" test pipe). Will a 2.5 inch dual (the hooker system) be ok to run 11.8? It seems to be the cheapest 2.2" system. thanks

Friday, December 07, 2001 - 10:17 pm What Steve said. The hooker pipes are mandrel bent. I have a 2.5" non mandrel bent exhaust system I had a muffler shop do for $150. Even in the mid 11's (11.53@118 best) it's as quick through the mufflers (ultraflows) as it is through a dump pipe.
