I am currently looking for a turbo for my 87' GN.
I want a big turbo that is still stock appearing (I want it to fit under the shield). I did some research, and found that the TA61 is about what I am looking for. Is there anything bigger/better that will fit under the shield? Anyone tried this turbo before and had any unsatisfactions?

I've had great results with the TA61 from John Craig. Personally, I wouldnt go any bigger than it on a car you drive daily. It has taken me to 11.33 with only bolt ons, and has the proven potential to run in the high tens with some head work. Many have been there with a ta61.

That rattling sound you here is most likely coming from the turbo unwinding due to the rapid decrease in exhaust pressure when you let off the throttle. It is especially noticeable if you have an aftermarket air cleaner.
