I have an 85 Regal T-Type motor. It is in my 85 Chevy S-10, got a quick question, actually two. When I start the truck up in the morning or after sitting for a while it idles itself up like it should to warm it up. Then after a while it wont idle down. I have to shut the truck off and start it again to idle it down. What could this be. Also I have installed the digital dash from a 85 Regal T-type in the car but my turbo gauge dosent work. I know this has to do with the Map sensor, but I didnt grab that from the car when I got the dash and the wiring harness. Does the map sensor do anything else besides work the turbo gauge. And one more question does anyone know anyone selling one of these map sensors. And does anyone have any kind of performance parts that they are selling for a hot air car. Thanx for the help again.

Got one more question. When I stripped the parts off of the other Buick Regal- I took most of the vaccuum parts, I found a vaccuum type canister that was about 10 inches long 3 inches wide and it was shaped a cylinder with a flat bottom- it had two vaccuum nipples on it. Where does this go and what does it do- I cant find it in any of my manuals. THanx.

Im new to turbo regals ,but it sounds like the canister you are talking about is the carbon canister. It just catches extra gas fumes while the engine is not running and then normally uses the captured fumes in the combustion process of the running engine. I think that this is what your talking about and I believe that it is found under the emissions section of your manual.

CHris, 10x3 with a flat bottom and two vac nipples??? sounds like you just got the vac. canister that WAS located on or around the heater box(on the regal). I went to replace mine and low and behold it could not be found in any manuals.....sounds like the same animal to me.
