I dropped an 87 drivetrain into an 83 wagon. While it won't be exactly the same, there will be quite a few similarities. Check out my web pages. There is a document on there that lists a few of the things to look for that need to be changed. The page is www.turbowagon.com or www.turbo6.com, if that one isn't working. scroll down and click on Malibuick, then scroll down more. So far I only have 2 docs typed up. More to come eventually.

Nope you're not. In fact, I am building another conversion, and so are 3 others that I have been emailing. Hopefully we can all learn a little from each other and make it easier for all of us. If you come up with any questions, feel free to drop me a line. If I don't know, I'll go tear apart a car and find out. (Well, maybe I won't go that far.)
A couple of things come to mind though: If you have the engine wiring harness, and the dash wiring harness, then that is good. You are going to need to get the wires that go from the fuse box to the taillight wiring harness. You are also going to have to get the taillight wiring harness. These are different from your Cutlass, because they have the extra wire for the fuel pump.
Oh, and why did I paint my GN like that??
Why not? I wanted to keep it black, since all GNs were black, but I wanted something different. Something that was unmistakably mine. I think I accomplished that, doncha think? Anyways, that car is getting parted out. Well, not parted out exactly, it is supplying all of the parts for my next project. It is too rotted to think about putting back together. It's spirit will live on in the next car. Heck, I may even paint it to match.
