is there any difference between our turbos and the 86-87 turbos?
Short answer ... yes. Long answer ... the differences are small enough though that most of the turbo rebuilder/sellers can adapt most 86-87 turbos to fit.
yes there is , but if you send you stock turbo to John Craig at Limited engineering he can actually step it up quite a bit in the stock housing. You won't be disappointed. He's in Arizona and on the vendor list on this site.
This is an off-the-wall question, but my younger brother is building a '78 regal with a chevy 350 and he wants to know if the old turbo off my '85 T-Type (i got an 87 turbo now) will work with the motor. i don't see any reason why it wouldn't unless maybe it's too small. if anyone's got any info it'd be appreciated. thanks.
Just wondering which turbo was used on the 85 Buick T-Type, also when it needs to be rebuilt which turbo is a good stage1 upgrade choice. I just bought the car and like to be knowledgeable of what im driving so any input is much appreciated!
