the engine's casting # is 25514290 and the trans # is 306-2t83ogi61. they both came out of an 85 gn and both have about a thousand miles on them before the car was wrecked. the trans has an art carr shift kit in it (Is that good?) the guy i bourght it from gave me all the reciepts for both and i understand allot of the stuff on them but i'm new to gn's ex-camaro fan). also they haven't been ran in two years what should i do before i run it. can you spin th oil pump through the distributer hole like on a chevy?? wher can i get a shaft to do it with? was 500$ too much to spend on the eng and trans? are tompco 32 lb injectors stock on these things??sorry for my ignorance but you have to start somewhere i guess.. thanks
First, you can spin the oil pump thru the cam sensor hole to prime it. A Chevy tool will work fine.
$500 is a good price if it's all complete.
32# Tomcos are used as stock replacements ... they slightly larger than stock (28#)
