hey everyone, i just got an '85 t-type. i'm new to these cars and don't know a lot about them. i've been doing some research and have found everything except head info & the model or type of turbocharger these came with. i know it's a garrett, but that's all. also, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a wastegate rod. i'm in the process of rebuilding and accidentally broke mine. thanks....
1st...is it salvageable??? straight? if it is check out wastgate modifications in the archives. you can turn it into an adjustable waste gate if it is salvageable. If not there are plenty of venders that sell adj wastgates. if you need a replacement I would advise on purchasing an adjustable type for better/ease of tuning.
anyone have any info about the stock turbo? i tried to find it in the resources section, but i found nothing.
