I am currently reassembling an 84 3.8 block and have access to gm performance parts through a local GM store and was wondering if anyone has had experience with the front cover(pn#25500169 @229.00) a trick looking front cover...has anyone seen it on our beloved turbo buick??? or should I just stick with stock cover??? Also in catolog is a "stand alone:" ignition coil/module(pn#25500182 @449.00) this item needs a harnes to work woth an efi car but by the looks the tuning capabilities are very easy, ie rpm limiter and spark adv are manually dialed in on coil module. the price is spendy but if I was to replace the magnavox coil/module it would be the about the same(currently running 86/87 coil conversion). Some input on this one would be appreciated as they are non returnable and shipped direct from gmpp, thanks. BTW Ken I will put together that recipie soon, when she is back on the road I may have to do a couple of revisions. Sam

Was hoping someone had already had a chance to use them in application. the NASCAR v6 was carburated normally aspirated, not turbo charged. them circle trackers dont know what they are missing, haha.

One thing to look at, the front cover doesn't have the stock oil pump, it is made for a dry sump set up. I dont have any info on the coil/module but it appears to be made for stand alone EFI or carbs. Doesn't look easy to use with the stock ECM.
