Well as you can tell, I'm interested in how much I should pay for an '85 Grand National. I have recently been shopping for one and the one I've found goes as follows: It has some minor body rust on both doors, I'm not sure if the front facia is urethane or fiberglass, but the paint has faded, chips on most of the body due to rocks and road stuff. The engine also has 177k+ miles on it. Runs good though, and it also probably needs a new MAF or ECM. The exhaust is good, eccept for the rusty tips. Also missing the center cap on one wheel and all of the lugs are rusted. Wheels are fine though. The good things are: almost perfect interior, working power sunroof, A/C works and was switched to r34 I'm told. The motor runs very well and had no visible oil leaks of any kind. Although I was told by the owner that it sometimes shuts off for no reason, which is why I think it may be the MAF or ECM. Well, the guy selling it has asked for $6k. I had no intention of paying that, but I was recently informed that $2500 to $3000 would be a fair asking price. Any input would be most welcome.
