hello everyone i have an '84 t-type and my digital dash works when it wants to. it will work one day every time i check it. then the next day nothing, its dead. then i will go and mess around a week later and it will work again. i could fix it myself but dont know where to start. i would send it out but runing out of money for the car. i just ordered new turbo, inj, reg, chip, hot wire, new tires and others. or could i use a analog dash until i get the digital dash fixed. so if anyone can help me and tell me what to replace or if they have a drawing on all of the components. thanks in advance

Is it the entire dash, or just the speedo?

Contact John Spina at Casper's

Dunno that he will tell you how to do it though, as it is his business to do these repairs.

Third thread for this recommendation.:-)

its the entire dash. it almost acts like there is a bad connection at a resistor or a capacitor. im going to take it out and check all of the solder joints and look for possible damage. the only thing that sucks is that i have the tools and know how to fix this just not the drawings or test equipment. i work for an electronics manufacture and build products that go in to space, radar and missiles if all else fails im going to send it to Casper's for repair and upgrade. sorry if it is a repeated question and thanks.

Call John and see what he says. As for the repetitive question, not your fault... I was just catching up on e-mails and found 3 similar dash questions (from 3 different forum??) to which I referred to Caspers on each one.

Good luck!
