michael j hardman (National84) | Monday, September 10, 2001 - 04:06 pm I am very glad to see a new hot-air recipe here, the old ones were way dated. My new question is, what kind of time slips and hp are people able to get from this recipe, or at least similar ones? |
Mike Bonneau (Mike85gn) | Wednesday, September 19, 2001 - 08:02 am The numbers will be run on the 29th. Previous track attempts have all been a bust, something always went wrong or the car ran like crap for some reason. So, just gotta keep running it until I get it right! Most people with similar build ups, using sticky tires and good race gas should/can run at least 13.7's. That is what I am hoping for at the minimum. I'd like, however, to see 13.5's optimisticly. |
Mike Bonneau (Mike85gn) | Monday, October 01, 2001 - 10:45 am On street tires and a 70/30 pump/race gas mix, she went 14.2 at 98.44 mph. Mph like that is good for 13's, so it looks like this recipe is on the right track! I was still tuning when they made the last call, didn't get enough runs in, but felt confident a little more tuning would have resulted in 13's easily. Boost was left at about 15 psi, all I did was play with my fuel pressure. 60' times were in the 1.9-2.1 range, and the car was launching hard out of the hole. Good results. |
Mike Bonneau (Mike85gn) | Monday, October 01, 2001 - 11:02 am That equates (based on mathematical formula) to around 245 RWHP and 320 FWHP (flywheel horsepower). Not bad numbers at all! Especially for a mostly street trim car. |
