I own an 85 T-type that has developed a dead miss at idle. When I first start the car it sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders and it usually dies the first 2 or 3 times. Then it will start still running the same then another cylinder will kick in and then another until it finally sounds fairly descent, but you can still hear a miss. When I try to drive it as long as I go slow it's not that bad ,but when I try to give it a little gas it starts spitting and sputtering and will backfire just a little with black smoke rolling out the exhaust the whole time, like its flooding or something. I don't know a whole lot about these cars and was hoping some of the "old pro's" out there could give me a pointer or two, like where to start or what to troubleshoot first? It would be greatly appreciated. Sharp1 Rob Sharp Kennett,Mo.
