Just retorquing won't guarantee that it will stop leaking, so you may be under there again soon, anyways. Then you'd be ahead of the game, and at least you would know for sure when it was changed last. It is always a good idea to go through the car when you first get it anyways. Try the Spring cleaning on this site. Just make sure the surfaces are real clean before you put the new gasket in. Brian P.S. Congrats on the new ride. |
