It was a beautiful jan. day in Michigan on sunday. so i decided to take my 85 GN (48000 mi) out for a drive. Hasnt been started in 3 months.
Didnt leak oil when I put it away. Noticed a puddle of oil under it when I went to get it out. Coming out appears somewhere above oil pan, possible rear main? Will it possibly go away after driven for a while?(dried out seal from sitting)? Thanx for any advice

Very possible that it will quit once it's driven some. My 455 Buick powered Street rod does the same every winter while it is sitting. After a few miles it swells the seal back up and don't mark territory during the summer when I am using it often.
BUT keep a close check on it for a while to make sure it don't drop to an unsafe level.

Good luck, and hope it isn't anything worse. If the oil consumption continues, I would look at the valve cover gaskets first, then the rear main seal.
