Ok, I am new at the GN's, so this is my plan and if someone could give me some advice, I would be grateful: I plan to rip apart the motor and rebuild it, put a bigger turbo on it, upgrade the computer and modify the fuel, and put a front mount intercooler on it.

But where Am I going to find a nice forged rebuild kit that will be able to handle a spool up kit of nitrous. Who will make one, and about how much am I looking at.
thanks
Ben

Actually, both Summitt and PAWS sell a kit with the forged pistons and such for the turbo Buick.

However, working with an '84/85 you might want to cruise the List archives for "how tos". Also check the Performance Recipes.

If the car is running decent, a complete tear down may not be necessary. Just some good tuning and careful boltons go a long way on these cars. Also, think about may alcohol injection instead of nitrous. Sort of an intercooler in a liquid form! :)

Hi all:

I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. This is a great site and I'm glad I took the time to find it - lots of good information here.

I am the original owner of a 1984 T-Type. The car is entirely stock with the exception of Westberg aircraft instruments where the defogger switch used to sit and the 86-87 coil mod. The speedometer quit in 1993 with 86,000 miles on it so I have no idea where it's at now. Car is a daily driver.

The car is, I'm sorry to admit, a mess at this point in time but am planning on a major clean-up of body, interior and engine. It ran terrible for quite a while until I installed the now ignition the other day - it runs like fun again. Plan on new injectors within the next 2 weeks, prolly stock replacements. I plan on keeping the car stock.

Phil

Nothing wrong with that we have a friend you just had his motor freshened up and upgraded injectors and turbo and ran low 13's. So, it can be done.
