I am installing a Stage 1 455 in a 1979 Cutlass and need to find the throttle cable mount or new cable.Has anyone done this swap.

Hi Mark, I have done this swap a few times including into a 85 Gutlass. There
are a few ways of mounting the throttle cable bracket depending on which carb
and trans you use. For a quadrajet carb you could use the bracket that
mounts on the back of the carb that Olds used on the small block with the 4
bbl. The bracket will have two cable attachments on it for the throttle cable
and the trans cable ( if using a turbo 350 or overdrive trans ). For a Holley
carb you can use a universal cable bracket. There are other variables to this
and if you want you can e-mail me with your carb, intake, and trans combo.
