I've got a '78 buick regal and I want a cowl induction hood really bad. I've called Harwood, GM parts group, and Year One and no one has one. There are some available for the 84 and up GN's but not for me. I would like a 3 1/2 or 4 inch fiberglass hood. Any help would be great thanx.
Clint I have a shop in NY and when I get a customer who wants a cowl hood but nobody makes it I usually end up making one at the shop. Maybe someone in your neck of the woods can do the same. The only thing is you will still have your steel shell and you cut out for the fiberglass cowl. When a nice cut is made it really looks official.Having a steel shell is not so bad cause you can use stock hinges and springs which works alot better than a harwood with prop rod.Think about it.
