| | Wednesday, March 19, 2003 - 11:07 pm I posted this in another forum, but I want to know has anyone ever thought of Compound Forced Ind.? For the ones who dont know it is were you use a Roots blower and a turbo in stages. I just want to hear opinions. Years ago it came out on a diesel engine and worked great, no lag time and the torque of a turbo, then they do it on a Toyota MR2 and works again, hmmmmm, just make s me think, and I want to hear what others think also! Thanks

| | Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 07:05 am seems like it would work well, since the added exhaust volume from the blower would really help the turbo spool as well. Only issue I see: cost - there are people running 10's and 9's on at least semi streetable GN motors without a blower, and a blower for these motors would have to be cu$tom made. Probably not worth the time/money investment... Gary gary_heuston@jdedwards.com

| | Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 12:51 pm FWIW, lots of tractor pull motors are series & series-paralell turbo (2 turbo's feeding 2 turbo's) apps. they use the primary turbo's to spool up the secondary ones & the secondary ones for making the big numbers. I think its a great idea, I would love to see one that works. there was a guy about 15 years ago that made a setup that had twin turbo's blowing throgh a blower in a little Pro Street Nova. BW
