Basically, take a look at the various "hybrid" turbos available from folks like Limit Engineering (John Craig), Cotton's Performance (I think his are Turbonetics based?), and Harry Hruska of Precision Turbo and Engine (PTE). Check the vendor page for several good vendors. The next step up from a stock turbo is a TA49/TE44 and they are great turbos to use with the stock torque converter. As far as intercoolers go, there several choices (again from a long list of vendors/suppliers) including stretch stock location (15, 17, and 21 row... including new cores in some) to several very good front mount designs. |
