I have been trying to chase down a knock problem at low boost on my newly rebuild engine . I happened to be under the hood and gave the engine a few quick blips of the throttle . I can hear a "slight sharp quick marble knock" when I rev the engine . It sounds like it's in the valve train or top of engine area . The engine has a fairly new cam sensor, so I'm going to rule that out . I Crane roller was install when it was rebuild . ANY help is welcomed . thanks.

I just took off the PS valve cover and notice the pastic button on cyl 2 exh that holds the rocker arm in place , looks like part (1/8") of the button is missing. or it was not made properly from the manufactor. The rocker arm has a lot of side to side movement because of this . Would this be able to cause a knock condition at hi rpm ? Has anybody seen this problem before ? thanks.
