Are the water pumps for an 87-T still available from local auto parts or from vendors only? Is this usually the part that goes bad or the whole motor? Windshield wipers work but no water.

I take it you mean the windhshield washer? That should be available just about anywhere, that sells auto parts.

I had the same problem with my water pump going and then the windshield washers not working. You can get a water pump from a local parts store but depending on how you run the car I would recommend a heavy duty unit. As for the windshield washers I took mine to a dealer to get fixed and the problem was some sort of chip board for the sprayers that was broken. also depending how comfortable you are working on your car you may want to look into a good auto shop to do the work because a lot is needed to be taken off to get to the water pump. I hope this helps!
