I am in the process of swapping a Hot air 3.8 into my Datsun 510. At the moment I am working on the x-member for the 3.8. I bought a crossmember that was said to be from a car running a carb'd buick v6 and part of a turbo v6 conversion. I measured the post that the engine mounts would bolt to and got a measurement of about 14.5 inches from mount bolt hole to bolt hole on the x-member. This seems a little short. Did all 3.8 rwd blocks use the same engine mounts? I guess I am just hoping this is the case. I wont see my engine for another week. Otherwise i'd just test fit it. By chance, anyone have measurements of the 3.8 block? Widths, heights, weight, etc...?
