hey guys, I have an 87gn with a very strange boost problem. my engine light comes on and sets a code 31 wastegate solinoid every time I give a little boost. I bought a brand new sensor and still have same problem. I can only build about 11 lbs. of boost at w/o. The car runs as strong
as ever even though this is happening. I also tried adjusting actuator arm about 6to7 turns and that might get me up to 12 lbs at w/o. I just want to emphasize that im not getting any knock. I use scanmaster and my o2 is 780-810 with no knock. I also noticed at the same time this started my scanmaster started to take alot longer to go into closed loop, at least 10 minutes warmup or longer. before it would enter closed loop at maybe 2min.also my coolant fan stopped working with engine off(brand new delay relay by the way). These three things happened all at once. I think its electrical ,but I just can't figure it out, please help.
hey guys, I think i found the problem. I checked all my fuses again and found a blown one - the ecm solenoid 10amp fuse was blown, some how i missed it the first time. My fan and closed loop problem i was having is fixed and soon as it stops raining im sure the wastegate will be o.k too.
