Tuesday, July 30, 2002 - 04:40 pm I have an 85 GN with an 87 GN intercooled engine. I am upgrading the fuel system to an XP Plus pump and a adjustable regulator. I front of the gas tank there are three short pieces of rubber fuel line connecting the stock steel lines to each other. I have worked at auto shops before and most rubber line is only rated near 50 psi. I have read that I may need to crank the FP up to near 50 psi once I start to develop some real power. Should I go ahead and switch to steel? If I take a pressure reading at the fuel rail does that mean the pressure in the one of the lines is that high? How does this all work? THanks, John
Wednesday, July 31, 2002 - 05:03 am Regular fuel line is rated low. Fuel Injection fuel line is rated at 100psi or more. Unless I know of a magic auto parts store, then you should be able to find it in any auto parts store. Just specify it is for fuel injection.
