Hello, My name is Chad. I own a 1988 Buick Le Sabre T-Type. I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me if any of the GN 3.8 stuff will work w/the 3800. I would like to put a turbo on it and figure that a set of GN heads would be ideal since they were designed with a turbo in mind. I didn't know if bolt holes, water jackets, intake etc. would line up. (I do intend to build the entire engine for turbo application, not just slapping a set of heads and turbo on it.)
I did see the other posting about the engine block, so I know the block isn't a direct bolt in and that the 3800 is weaker than the GN 3.8. But how much weaker? Or, what makes it weaker.
I'm not looking at running 10's but just something to have fun with on the streets and surprise a few V8's. Thanks in advance for any help.

This would require LOTS of changing, modifying and special parts. Certainly not worth the expense and time required. All is different, pistons, rods, block and especially the crank. Just making a set of headers to work would be a nightmare.
If you must do a swap for your Le Sabre, find a supercharged 3800 and harness. This is a bolt-in with much simpler harness mods.
