NOT ALL THE TIME,...nut most of the time when I start my 87 GN it will blow out a puff of blue smoke I REALLY dont think it can be vaulve guides they are pretty new,...is this normal? should I be worried about it? does it have anything to do with the turbo and its oil system?

It is possible tha the induction is receiving oil from the turbo due to a leak in the sheft seal and puddeling in your intake. When you first start the engine, it pulls the oil into the engine and causes it to smoke. This could be a possibility but i would first make certain that it was not the valve guide seals.
