I had a vacuum leak aroung the egr vlv. I decided to see if I could just do away with it. I built a plate to block the hole into the intake, and (for now) just blocked the vacuum line off with a bolt. do I need to do anything else. Do I need to unhook the egr vac reg. or buypass it? or is there anything else I should do. Thanks,Tyson

It may start pinging on you. EGR not only reduces smog but lowers combustion temps. If you don't hear it it means the detionation sensor is retarding timing and there will be a power loss. If you run race fuel you will be OK.
