I replaced my 105k mile original equipment water valve, it was leaking.
After installing a new one and cleaning up, I looked inside the old one. The insides are missing. It looks like there might have been a solid plastic barrel that swivels during normal operation. I guess it broke up and left the valve.
Does anybody know where it could be now? Should I be concerned about it blocking a passage somewhere? Maybe the water pump ground it up.
