OK,...Ive seen alot of uneccassary crap in my day, along with some weird mishaps but dang!......This takes the cake,....I pull out of the car wash get a few down the road,...Nail it! and someone pulls out in front of me but I thought nothing of it sense I had plenty of room to stop,........or so I thought,...I hit the pedal and Nothing!....It took both feet and everything I had to stop my baby from crashing into some incosiderate 75 year old lady who couldnt see me over her dashboard,...or because her glasses were to thick...AAAHHHH!!!
Anyway,...It turns out my pump motor went bad and poston wants over $500.00 to replace an already dangerous brake system,...Anyone else overcom this problem with a cheaper and safer solution?

How long have you been driving around looking at the red brake light on the dash?

I had the same problem...I too thought it was the motor and after changing it $$$$$$$$, it was a bad pressure switch. Do not forget to change the fuse for the brake motor. It pops when you have brake problems.

Well,.. the only problem is vaccum booster will NOT hold my car at the line,... I ended up replacing the pump and fuse and so far its doing a good job. Luckily one my fellow buick brothers had a used on lying around!
