| | Thursday, April 03, 2003 - 03:53 pm I had the GN out for a long ride today >100 Miles. Going about 70 MPH, no boost just cruising, the engine started sputtering and missing, no power and it was bucking like crazy. I nursed it home, it would have periods where it seemed to run fairly well (maybe for about 5 seconds) but most of the time it was bucking and kicking. No permanent MALF codes were stored but a quick run down the street showed the following codes on turbolink: 55: A/D Failure 31: Wastegate Solenoid Fault 32: EGR Fail Car starts right up but misses when it is idling. Any attempt to give it power will cause the engine to almost stall. Fuel Pressure is good. Turbo Hoses are tight and in good shape. So, I could use some help as to where to start. Ignition Coil? ECM? MAF? Thank you Patrick '87 GN patricki@optonline.net

| | Tuesday, April 15, 2003 - 05:05 pm Ok, I'll answer my own question just in case someone else tries to search for an answer using some of the keywords I used. The problem was twofold. Primarily, the MAF was bad. I replaced it with a Remanufactured one, so far so good. At the same time, I checked my ignition coils, the middle coil showed a resistance of 5Mohm. A little too high. It got replaced too, along with the wires. The car runs sweet now, we'll see what happens the next time at Englishtown. Patrick '87 GN patricki@optonline.net
