Check your high speed fan relay. I know mine is out and I experience similar symptoms.

My car used to do that as well but all of my relays were good. I ended up just putting in a switch so I could turn the fan on high whenever I needed to. The high speed relay, on my car anyway, doesn't turn on the fan at high speed until about 209°, so you're still well under that number. I'd check both relays just to be safe, the low speed should be on around 170 I think, depending on the chip. Also it probably wouldn't hurt to get the radiator cleaned.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. I WILL GO AHEAD AND HOT WIRE THE FAN AND SEE IF THAT MAKES ANY CHANGE. I ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO A FIVE ROW RADIATOR I MAY TRY THAT.

I added a gasket between the fan shroud and the radiator, made a big difference, it was at least 3/4" between the radiator and the shroud. I took one of the seals that goes between the rear of the hood and the cowling. It can slide right on the shroud, with the bulbous part resting lightly on the radiator. Made a big difference for me, plus replacing that flap that is made out of rubberized cardboard that attaches to the bottom of the front grill and the bottom of the radiator frame. Mine was completely trashed, I didn't even know it. Hope this helps.

With a 5 row radiator there are more gaps between the tubes. This increase in gaps create more air turbulence and does not cool the car any better. In the perfect world you want the outgoing air velocity (back side of radiator) to be the same as the incoming air (front side). The best in my opinion is an aluminum 3 row 2 pass radiator.

I did what bob did, sealed the fan to the radiator. That helped a lot. But it still wasn't enough, so I got the dual fans from ramchargers for $79.

We were just talking about this:
=================
I use RMI and distilled water.

I have the ramchargers dual fans, which brought my temps way down.

I boxed in the area between the grill and the condensor. This forces air in to the condensor and through to the radiator.

I made a sheild to keep hot radiator air out of the intercooler.

The home made fan switch can be found at the gnttype site.

Shawn I think you need to check your website, it's not coming up. It says something about not being migrated to the newer server.

Flush the radiator, fill it with distilled water and a product called Water Wetter. This decreased my running temps by 10 to 15 degrees. also check the relays for your fan like the guys mentioned before. If the fans don't work right, it wouldn't matter if the radiator was made from ice.

If you need a really powerful fan, get the one from the Lincoln Mark VIII. As the boys on the Shovaille board are finding out, this fan flows more cfm than any similar sized fan on the planet, 4000+ cfm. It requires over 100 amps to start, and 45 amps continous, don't kow if our electrical systems can handle that though. Fits a 28" wide core nicely, may require some trimming for our 26" core.
