Greg Rowe (Zr1killr) | Thursday, July 26, 2001 - 09:51 pm I'm helping my friend replace the valve springs w/the engine in the car. We are probably going to use the oldrope in the cylinder trick to keep the valves up. What kind of spring compressor do we need to pull them. I thought there was only one type that would do the back passenger one and the rest could be done with a normal valve spring compressor tool. We don't really want to use the set-up from the tech archive. Thanks guys. SGT Greg Rowe |

Scott Keller (Keller) | Thursday, August 02, 2001 - 05:44 am The style made out of a stock rocker arm and a stock rocker shaft worked fine for me. This is the type that Kirban makes up. Basically, a modified rocker arm with the 'tip' cut out and a 'handle' that can be used on the pushrod side for leverage. |
