Jim F. (Saudisy) | Monday, January 05, 2004 - 10:21 am Hope that's a typo, and you meant crank. Never heard of a cam adding stroke. |
Harry O. Dunmire Jr. (Arkansas84) | Monday, January 05, 2004 - 03:37 pm it was a typo i did mean crank but would it work? Or do you think it would be a waste of time? |
Ken Mosher (Kenmosher) | Tuesday, January 06, 2004 - 12:11 pm No. The Caddy 4.1 was a V8 (4100). He probably is thinking of the Buick 4.1 that was used in several Olds/Buick applications in the early 80s. That said, the crank stroke is the same in the 4.1 as the 3.8 (and the same crank can be used in both). The displacement difference is because the 4.1 has a bigger bore and siamesed cylinders. |

Nick Micale (Arizonagn) | Tuesday, January 06, 2004 - 07:45 pm The Buick 4.1 V-6 was also used in some early '80's Cadillac applications. |
