Jeff St.Pierre (Fat_Track67) | Friday, January 09, 2004 - 11:29 am i recently installed the big mouth cold air intake from buickgn.com on my car, along with the 3in' up pipe. when i started it up i noticed a valve tick. upon closer listening i figured it had to be an exhaust valve. what happened. how can i fix it. i don't know if adding the intake did anything but i would like to know what everyones thoughts are on it |
Scott Keller (Keller) | Friday, January 09, 2004 - 12:46 pm Perhaps you are hearing a tick from the cam sensor or the belt tensioner, and not the cam. Try pulling your belt off and starting it up briefly. If it goes away, that would eliminate the puley. Careful inspection and investigation, coupled with an adjustment of the cam sensor per instructions on this site might eliminate the cam sensor. Don't panic yet... |
