Hi, I am checking out a 3.8L engine (plus computer and transmission) off of a 1986 Buick Grand National for $1000 obo (Canadian), and was wondering if anyone could point out potential trouble spots I could look for with the motor, to make sure everything was ok with it? The buyer lists that it runs excellent, but I would appreciate any insight on potential trouble spots I could look for before I purchase it (keep in mind I am not a mechanic, but I would probably bring someone along that is fairly knowledgable about cars, just not GN's in particular). I am going to see it sometime next week hopefully, so again, any responses would be *greatly* appreciated.
just to add...I have looked over the "Buyers Guide" on the website..I'm just looking for any other insight on potential problem spots for the engine, computer, and transmission (I believe they are outside of the vehicle now)
