This weekend I noticed my starter dragging occasionally. As I am getting ready to do some work on the car think I will get a new starter. Is the starter the same, can I just take it down to auto zone and exchange> How much is new GM, are they available
Jon, Starters for the 3.8, when purchasing rebuilt, check for the long spacer between the solenoid and the attatching point for the windings, indicating a high torque version of the motor
