Art Freeman (Joyof6) | Wednesday, October 24, 2001 - 11:53 am I've seen different factors (i.e., multipliers) based on bore size being used for choosing ring gap in a nitrous or forced induction street vs. drag engine. For example a factor of 0.007" per inch of bore would call for 0.028" gap in a 4" bore (4.1L block), which is what I've been using. My question is: What "factor" are you performance engine builders using for top ring gap in a drag race-oriented TR? If you need more info on other variables to answer that, let me know.
