I'd like to know if it is just fine to "Recharge" the air conditioning on my 1987 TR, with the RL-276 type freon-or, if there would be any problems in doing this? Supposedly, it's compatable with R-12. If anyone knows about RL-276-or, has had experience using this-I'd like to get your input(Pro & Con)? NOTE: I don't want to convert over to R-134A! Also, how about the cooling efficiency of RL-276, when compared with R-12? Thankyou!

Mikal

You don't want to convert, just add to the system, right? Just curious about being against the conversion. Other than having your system vacuumed out and adding two new screw-on fittings, you just add the 134 to the system, that's it if your system is already good. To each his own,
Scott

After getting a new compressor three years ago I used Castrols conversion kit and its cooled better that the R12 did and the motors been out several times since then and I've not had to add a drop.Works great for me. Hope you get what you want.
