Hi! I just picked up a new Fel-Pro Intake gasket for my 3.8. I have rebuilt one in the past and i noticed that the valley pan gasket used to be plain metal and it came with a tube of brush tac. The gasket (Fel-Pro) that i bought has a blue coating and has Fel-Pro written on it. It does not come with brush tac. Is it safe to say that this gasket does not need to be coated with brush tac? THanks
I know exactly what your talking about. I would prefere the blue felpro myself. You dont need brush tac but I always use and sugest rtv silicone on bolth sides of the gasket around the water ports and a heavy thick coat on the ends in place of the rubber inserts that come with it.
